What does the training actually look like?

Training is done face to face with all members of your pastoral and learning support teams together. Working as a group is a critical part of the process - in many cases this is the first time both teams have combined….

What resources do you provide as part of the training?

I provide a clear process overveiw for each issue. This describes the issue, the evidence base and the structured process for supporting it. From that point each school is able to train and support newly appointed housemasters, year advisors and learning support staff.

What is the cost?

Cost will vary based on the size of your school and number/type of issues we are working with

Can we offset the cost with NCCD/NDIS funding?

Yes, schools can offset some or all of the cost via NCCD funding as it pertains to the support of students with disability and ensures they are compliant with relevant legislation: DDA and DSE. (link)

Individual families can use NDIS funding to offset some of the cost of training as it pertains to the individual needs of their child/children. (link)
